FAQ

Frequently asked questions from companies

Why my extension is not appearing?

Currently (May 2023), Qlik's recommended authentication method does not provide direct support for third-party extensions. As a result, we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of third-party extensions until Qlik introduces a way to embed them using OAuth, the preferred authentication mechanism.

We understand the significance of third-party extensions in enhancing the functionality and customization options within Qlik applications. We share your excitement and desire to leverage these extensions to their full potential. However, until Qlik addresses the issue and provides a supported approach, we are unable to assure seamless loading and integration of third-party extensions within the recommended authentication method.

Our team is actively monitoring any updates or developments from Qlik regarding this matter. We remain committed to finding the best solutions to meet your needs and will keep you informed of any progress made in this area.

How secure is it to provide my tenant's information to you?

Storing a client ID and hostname is generally considered safe and is a common practice in many industries. These pieces of information are often used for the purposes of authentication and identification, and they do not contain any sensitive data that could be used to compromise a client's sensitive information or overall security.

Anyone can configure NewHub for SaaS?

No, you must be a Tenant Admin within your Qlik Cloud tenant to configure it properly and get started. Users that are not Tenant Admin do not have access to certain Qlik APIs that are necessary.

How do I change colors (fonts, chart colors, etc) for my apps inside NewHub?

NewHub uses your Qlik Sense app's theme to style it according to what you already have in place. If you want to change your app's style, consider changing your Qlik Sense theme's CSS and JSON configuration, just as you would normally do in your Qlik environment.
