Configuring Filters for your app

To make filters available in NewHub SaaS, users need to create a filter pane as a master item in their Qlik Sense app and tag it with "NHFILTER". Here are the steps:

  1. In your Qlik Sense app, create a filter pane using Qlik's standard filter pane object. This can be done by dragging and dropping the filter pane object from the Qlik Sense visualization panel onto the canvas.

  2. Configure the filter pane with the desired filters, dimensions, and measures based on your data model and analysis requirements.

  3. Once the filter pane is configured, go to the "Master Items" section in Qlik Sense and locate the filter pane that you just created.

  4. Right-click on the filter pane and select "Properties" to access the properties panel.

  5. In the properties panel, under the "Tags" section, add the tag "NHFILTER" to the filter pane. This tag is essential for making the filter pane available in NewHub SaaS.

  6. Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes.

Once the filter pane is tagged with "NHFILTER", it will be automatically available in NewHub SaaS for users to apply filters and refine their data selections for analysis.

Note: It's important to ensure that the master item filter pane is published and accessible to the users who have access to NewHub SaaS. Additionally, any changes made to the filter pane in the Qlik Sense app, such as adding or modifying filters, will be reflected in NewHub SaaS as well, providing a consistent user experience across both platforms.
